Start the season of gifting by stocking up on handmade gift tags!
This class is a gathering focused more on creating in community rather than building technical skill. We will star by learning the process of tearing and folding paper, followed by an introduction to the watercolor tools and palette. Amelia will teach a series of mark making techniques that can be combined to create all types of winter foliage, decorations, sparkle, and more. We will also go over basic lettering with a fine tipped watercolor brush. Tags/cards can be made in any size. The second hour will be spent creating, chatting, and drinking tea (please bring your own mug!)
Amelia Morton is the owner of Space In Common and has been painting with watercolors since the age of 4 when she was introduced to them in a Waldorf preschool in her hometown of Ashland, Oregon.
Materials: You may choose to borrow a Sakura Koi Watercolor Field Sketch Box Kit (24 colors) from Space In Common or bring your own supplies. You can bring any supplies that inspire you, not limited to watercolor, to use in the second half of the class. Paper, brushes, and other tools are provided.
Note: At this time we cannot offer refunds for cancellations. If plans change and you can no longer attend a workshop you have sign up for, you can transfer your ticket to someone else, or have the option of donating your spot to the community.
This workshop is for ages 13+
