WE BELIEVE IN COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION

Through openly sharing our experience and knowledge as creatives, we can elevate each other’s successes and contribute to a thriving community of creative expression.

The Sisters Creative Cohort seeks to bring local creative/makers/artists together in a collaborative environment that encourages creative growth and supportive community connection.

This cohort is for artists/makers/creatives in Sisters who:

  • Wish to nurture your creative practice through focused connection and conversations with other creatives.
  • Are seeking open creative collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Crave fresh perspectives and insight to fuel your creativity.
  • Can devote 1-2 hours a month to an in-person gathering.
  • Want to share skills and grow your creative presence.

Is there a cost to attend?

The cost to join the cohort is a $35 one time fee to support Space In Common as our gathering place. You can pay at the bottom of this page.

If cost is a prohibiting factor for you, please email hello@spaceincommon requesting to join for free and we will waive the fee no questions asked.

I can't make it to this one, will there be another?

Simply put, we don't know but we hope so! If you can't make these dates but want to stay in the loop, be sure to sign up for the Space In Common newsletter at the bottom of this page.

What if I am not an artist?

Identifying as an artist can be complex and is one of the themes we will be diving into together. You do not need to feel comfortable calling yourself an artist to join us. We are however looking for people with an active creative practice in any medium.

A BIT ABOUT US:

Wrenna and Amelia are dreaming up The Sisters Creative Cohort together and will be facilitating the first three meetings.

Meet Wrenna

Hello! I am Wrenna Rose.

I am an artist and creative being. My creativity is fueled by my insatiable curiosity, explorations of my inner and outer worlds, and the continuous evolution of self.

My artistic expression is multidisciplinary. Art is my way of bringing shape, texture, color, language and meaning to the ways I engage with life— a way of synthesizing my lived experience into something tangible, integrated and cohesive.

Themes in my work include: nature kinship, beauty as refuge, praise as activism, grief as an expression of love, and the tender work of healing.

Meet Amelia

I am Amelia Morton, the owner of Space In Common and a life long artist. I have been painting with watercolors since I was a little girl in a Waldorf preschool classroom, and since then making art in many forms has been at the center of my daily life. I moved to Sisters in 2017 and have been finding my way as an artist, opening Space In Common in June of 2023.

I value time alone, meaningful connection, dance, play, animals, and time spent outside. My paintings are explorations of life as a neurodivergent creative seeking peace in my inner landscape.
